We have a small home decor business having our own manufacturing setup. To meet the demand, we hire skilled manpower like tailors and supporting staff. to make and sell finished products to our customers. We make products such as wall clocks, wall arts etc.
We have a staff of 25 people & many more who are linked with us indirectly for sourcing raw material and labor jobs. These people depend on our business and it is the only source of earning for all of them to support their families.
Nobody knows what will happen ahead but we are really worried, as due to this COVID 19 pandemic there are less orders & less buyers, we may consider closing down the business, as we will not have the required additional resources to pay for salaries and other fixed costs during lock down and the inevitable slowdown in the economy. It will hit all low wage workers as they are particularly vulnerable to any global economic downturn triggered by this.We are in desperate need of support to sustain ourselves and keep the business alive which is a life-line for these families.
A small grant could be more than just a temporary solution for the business. It can actually help us get back on our feet and translate to a stable source of livelihood for even multiple families relying on our business.
