The beginning
It began in 2018, with a dream and a workshop.
A 24-year-old with one stubborn belief: that a house becomes a home the moment its walls start to speak — about the people inside them.
That belief became TangyOak. Not a store of things to hang, but a small workshop set on making something beautiful, and unmistakably Indian, for the walls of everyday homes. We wanted in. Into your living room, your child's corner, the wall you walk past every morning. Into the story of the home, and the family living it.
What we believe
Every home has a personality.
And every wall says something about who lives inside these four walls of brick and mortar.
We don't think of décor as decoration. We think of it as the quiet, daily proof that this space is yours — a clock that marks your hours, a canvas that holds your taste, a map of the places you've been or still dream of. Small things. But they're the ones that turn a house into a home.
Made in-house
We don't just design it. We make it.
Most of what you'll find online is bought, badged and resold. Ours isn't. Every TangyOak piece is designed, cut, printed and finished under one roof in Mumbai — with our own machines, our own hands, and a fair bit of obsession.
No reselling. No drop-shipping. No strangers between the maker and your wall.
